  Forced to use App and Doomscroll

  Reddit now requires you to download the app to use reddit on your phone. I purposely don't have it downloaded so i don't doomscroll, but there's still posts i come across when searching on google that i'd like to read. So i am giving 2 options, try to read as much on the post in chrome before the pop-up stops me, or download the app and waste hours accidentally doomscrolling on the site. Terrible With this change, Reddit is proudly proclaiming: "doomscroll and make us money" Atleast Instagram will allow you to view the post, just requiring the app to explore the site

  What happened?

  Use to be a great app and platform!! Now the app is glitchy and the platform is full of ads!!! I see 2-3 ads for every actual post now!!!

  Manipulative UX, Unnatural UI

  This app is unnatural to use. When 3rd party applications were available I was a regular user of reddit, but I now find the platform unbearable to interact with. It has continuously reduced options for users. Whenever I go to another app then go back to Reddit, it auto-refreshes the feed. Furthermore, the Home page algorithm is horrible. What was once a vibrant, community-oriented site has abandoned any values of user friendliness.

  I’m so glad I brought the underwear talk, it’s really been helpful to a lot of men! That’s all I want, guys to be guys but to be comfortable no matter what. You want to show off and let people know you wear thongs, DO IT!! If your not ready for everyone know to much personal parts of you, save a pair of Boxers just in case!! Anyway I’m so happy that I e been fortunate enough to see, hear, laugh, there were a couple things guys said that I down right. Clapped, others I was yelling, Alright!!!! Keep it up gentleman!!!!   Forcing me to DL the app

  Use to be able browse on mobile web, now it blocks you for sure, unless you download the app. Annoying.

  The worst social app I’ve ever experienced.

  Not only is it full of echo chamber subreddits that only want there opinions parroted. It has a really horrible auto mod system that bans you for no reason. I suggest avoiding this at all costs.
