  SCAM!

  I have cancelled my subscription 3 days prior to the end of the trial. But they still charged me the yearly subscription anyways, so now I have to use this app until next year. The reason for cancellation is that this app is worse in term of learning new words than my other learning apps. Be careful guys.

  Wrong Definitions?

  I really liked the idea of this app! I love refreshing on my vocab. The issue is, a lot of the definitions are incorrect. For example, the word emulous popped up today and was defined as “wanting to be better than others”, but that’s not what emulous means. It means to want to imitate or be like others. Most of the words that have popped up have had the wrong definition (I noticed and then double checked with a dictionary). So, while I like the idea of learning vocab words, I don’t want to memorize the wrong definitions. All this is going to do is teach you how to misuse words unfortunately:(

  Subscription Optional!

  I used this app for its great lock screen widget for almost a year before realizing that the app can be used for free, after you get past a difficult onboarding process that does not make it clear that there is an option to not subscribe unless you click the “x” at the end. Enjoying all of the new features this discovery has unlocked for me, really nicely designed app.

  When will I ever use this..

  What the actual heck are these words? “ it’s like the creators thought it would be funny to teach us random words.” because when will I ever use this 90% of these. I would truly learn no words at all than have this app on my phone, sending me 1000 notifications a day.
