  This is a great app.

  This is a great interactive language app. I liked the fact that it is geared towards learning and although it can be one sided, depending on instructors, you can make it more than one sided experience. I tried interactive language exchange apps before, from which i just could not have the best experience as an older person who is not interested in romantic relationship.

  Italki Japanese Lessons

  Dear Italki, I have taken more than 90 Japanese lessons Hana Sensei. She is a kind, professional, and talented teacher! Yesterday’s lesson was amazing! I was able to speak in Japanese on a variety of subjects. Our lessons have enabled me to learn and develop my Japanese language skills … and reconnect with my family heritage! I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful teacher. Hana Sensei is my favorite teacher ever!! I will return to Japan soon and be able to speak more easily with my cousin and my Japanese friends!   It’s okay

  I’ve used italki for about a year learning German. I discovered it in a Reddit thread and I have a fantastic tutor. The app is OK but does some weird stuff like it says I have a notification I click on it and nothing‘s there. Or I get a notification there’s some kind of interesting article and I click on it and I find it and then I want to save it for later and I can never find it again. So there’s some CX issues with the app. I don’t use this as my main language app. I only use it to work with my tutor. I don’t use any of the other features other than some recaps and flashcards or something. There just isn’t a way to really organize your stuff and those notifications that go nowhere drive me nuts.

  Best app to learn a language

  Probably the most effective way to learn a language. I've been taking privates lessons for Spanish and it's been like a rocket ship for pace of improvement. You can get really talented teachers for a very affordable price. Only docking a star because the video call functionality can be a little buggy and some UI feels clunky.

  The app is pretty bad👎👎👎 First of all, they don’t refund your money. Second, it’s really hard to find a good teacher here. Many of the tutors don’t actually know how to teach. They just give you pointless exercises to fill up the lesson instead of helping you improve. I even had a tutor who showed up looking stoned, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and shorts. 🤣🤣🤣 This platform is a complete dumpster fire!
