  New apps should not have fewer features

  Store availability and list sorting by aisle seem to be gone. The shopping list seems like an afterthought. And how do you search for products now? There’s no search bar to be found. Massive downgrade from the MyLidl app. Everything about this transition has been poorly done.

  Trouble transferring exist acct to new app

  It should be automatically transfer my existing acct from old app to new. Please tell me You can do this. I am having great difficulty trying to do this. And customer care is useless.

  Pointless and frustrating app

  It’s a forced replacement for the original, useful app. This one won’t even become operational for another 10 days, but the original is no longer available. Stupid move, Aldi.

  New Lidl Plus - broken

  I’m being forced to download this new Lidl Plus app because apparently the old one stops working on July 15th. Fine. Whatever. Except now I’ve downloaded the new app and I can’t even log in. Every time I try, it sends me over to accounts.lidl.com where I am greeted by… absolutely nothing. Just a blank screen. So I tried going directly to the webpage myself, only to get a warning that the site isn’t secure. And it still won’t load. So clearly something is broken and needs to be fixed immediately. How exactly are you going to force everyone onto a new app and then forget the minor detail of letting people actually log in, create accounts, or use the damn thing? Bold strategy.

  Prefer the original Lidl App

  The original Lidl app is preferred over this new “Plus” app. I can no longer see if products are in stock. I certainly wouldn’t call this app “plus”. I hope there are improvements planned.

  Impossible to register

  The app insists to verify my phone number but the verification SMS never comes through. I tried for several day until I used my limited possibilities to request new code. The code never arrived and so I am locked out of my account. I contacted customer service but an answer never csme but an automated email stating that they are overwhelmed. I figure why… You can do better than this, Lidl

  I just downloaded the new Lidl Plus app and it looks like you removed the search function. Why would you do that?!

  Super Invasive App!

  This app is terrible. They want verified email and phone number to set up an account. This is not a banking app. There is no need to verify anything except to track you. You will have no privacy if you sign up. This wouldn’t fly in Germany where they have actual privacy laws.

  Everything That's Wrong With Apps Today

  Lidl had a good app which I used. Then I was forced to download Lidl Plus to keep the App. Strike 1- The existing app could have been updated instead. Strike 2- The new app wanted my birthday. Why? To make the job of identity thieves easier? Strike 3- Then the clunky new app wants a ton of info, new user name and password, and a verification code. When I got the code, the app's entry screen reverted back to the Download page. Screw it. I just deleted the app and will not use it. Fire the idiots who developed this new and very unimproved app.
