Message responses are AI garbage most of the time.
It’s a waste of time to try to message through the app. After 3 or 4 useless back and forths, I got a conspicuously helpful non AI response. You might have better luck with phone.

Aetna would rather have you die
Than pay a claim.

Terrible interface
The application interface is a confusing mess of non-deterministic options and placement of information. I should not be required to actively search for my information, and should not need to resort to help desk for the most simple of requests.

Claims submission is intentionally difficult
The process to submit a claim in this app is unnecessarily difficult to navigate, so much so that the only conclusion is that it is intentional. The process is full of moments where people will simply give up and not submit their claim because they can’t figure out how to get to the next step. I understand why Aetna did this. They don’t want to have to pay claims, so they make it difficult on purpose for the user to submit the claim. If they can frustrate as many people as possible into not submitting claims, their profits go up. Is there no end to Aetna’s greed? How do these people look at themselves in the mirror or sleep at night?

The app cannot be installed on old iPhones.
I wish I could review the app, but I can't because it will not work on an iPhone 8 Plus. This forces the user to have to buy a new phone. Not all of us need the most latest technology . So for those of you that are looking to use this app or use it you're going to need an iPhone that supports a newer version of iOS. A usable cell phone that cannot be upgraded, will be useless to you.

Won’t let me sign in
Trying to log in on the website and keep getting a “technical issues” thing that pops up so I tried logging into the app and it tells me “to view this plan please use the member website” the member website doesn’t freaking work!

Cannot utilize app functions
Always saying “We’re having technical issues. Please try again later.”
- ★★★★★Channel_CH
Can you do something about this
“System temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”
- ★★★★★2nd Shoulder replacement
Pre authorization
I have osteoarthritis and have had one shoulder, one hip and I’ve knuckle replaced while under United Health Care. Never a problem. Now I need the other shoulder replaced while I’m insured with Aetna and seems like you enjoy declining everything first to make the physician snd patient jump through hoops . Ridiculous.

Care questions
AI couldn’t answer my question and I got no resolution. I’d rather talk to a person
