Great when it works, and a UI nightmare when it doesn’t
Marvis Pro is arguably one of the most powerful and visually stunning media overlays available, but its hyper-customized architecture is increasingly a double-edged sword. It is designed to solve the UI/UX shortcomings of the native Apple Music app, yet it frequently introduces highly frustrating interface bugs of its own. Most recently, the app’s heavy reliance on custom long-press and drag gestures seems to conflict deeply with standard iOS text selection wrappers. When trying to use basic text drag-and-drop tools or standard selection anchors within modals or share sheets triggered inside Marvis, the interface repeatedly hijacks the touch coordinates. It drops inputs after a few characters, completely breaking basic copy-paste and text management functionality. There is also no repeat one, all, or none functionality. The core irony is that when you run into a UI issue and attempt to report or share it, the app's own interface bugs prevent you from executing the basic text actions needed to do so efficiently. While the level of customization is unparalleled, an app meant to streamline the music-listening experience shouldn't require this much friction or a screen nightmare just to handle basic tasks.

Underrated, suprised I never heard of it
The smart rules are all I ever wanted for apple music, makes shuffle useful by having newly added songs play more often and songs that already played wont play for a while when hitting shuffle (fully customizable) First thing I did was modify most played to only show the last 6 years. (Don't like the depressing music I spammed 7-8 years ago that filled that playlist and made it useless) I have so many ideas about how to rediscover songs I've forgotten, I was already going through my library andthis makes it so much easier. (You technically can do this all for free using shortcuts but it's a hassle to setup and modify)

Crashes constantly
This app used to be much better than the state it is in lately. Now it’s a toss up on if it crashes or not.

Non functional
It doesn’t work at all. It can’t play music or sort through menus without crashing. It’s completely useless.

Stop feuding with the music app
Marvis Pro is twice as good as Apple Music should be. I only wish I could pay again for a version dedicated to listening to the music library I own via mp3.

Wow
Amazing well thought out app. Interacting with my Apple Music account is a joy now. Love customizing everything and I feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface yet.

Brilliant but needs iCloud sync
Brilliant app, literally changed the way I listen to music with all its options around smart playlists and rules. UI customization is endless. Desperately needs iCloud sync for settings / rules / etc. across devices though - right now it’s a manual process you have to remember to do (manual export/import).

This IS the app you’re looking for!
I have used Marvis Pro as my default music player for years, but recently, I had an urge to listen to the least played albums in my local music library. This sent me on a mission to evaluate apps that were purpose built for this use case, but for various reasons, they all fell short. Then I had the “brilliant” idea to check if Marvis Pro could do what I wanted. Doh!! Of course it can, and it was easy to set up, too! There’s no need to look elsewhere — this IS the app you’re looking for!!

The best - no Algo
The music apps now a days are using shuffling Algos for some mysterious reason, maybe the artists are paying them to play their songs more, not sure. They are not true shuffle nor do they have that option. Marvis is the ONLY true shuffle app if your playlist is huge. Regarding organizing songs Marvis kicks it into 10th gear compared to Apple (which is actually pretty good). The guy who developed this app deserves a lot of credit considering he’s developing stuff a giant corp like Apple can’t be bothered with. He could single handily add thousands of subscribers to Apple Music with Marvis, Spotify better hope this app doesn’t go viral. I mean- they have the same information he’s getting from them but not using it. Not sure if Apple developers are lazy or just stupid in this department. As far as Spotify is concerned I don’t understand why you would build a playlist, it’s more of a radio station pretending to be a library, no organization capabity what so ever. For people that don’t like a bit of organization I guess this app would not be necessary.

Complete waste
App doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. Not worth the wasted time or money.
