  No Support or Help, Broken Systems

  ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) I’ve distributed music for years and this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with a distributor. Multiple releases have been stuck in “Processing” for over a week. One release has already missed its scheduled release date twice, and several others are experiencing the same issue. The biggest problem isn’t even the delay—it’s the complete lack of customer support. When issues arise, you’re pushed into an AI chat system that repeatedly promises an agent will join the conversation, but no human ever appears. There is no phone support, no direct way to contact a real person, and no practical path to get help when your music release is impacted. As an independent artist, release dates matter. Marketing campaigns, pre-saves, social media promotion, and listener expectations are all tied to those dates. When releases are delayed with no explanation and no access to support, it creates real damage for artists. I chose DistroKid expecting a reliable distribution platform. Instead, I have multiple releases in limbo and no way to get answers. Until support becomes accessible and distribution delays are handled more transparently, I cannot recommend this service to other artists. If you’re considering DistroKid, just be aware that everything may work fine—until something goes wrong. At that point, getting help can be extremely difficult.
