  Best Mother’s Day present ever

  This bird feeder given me lots of joy. I love that I have this new job of taking care of their feeder. I did find I had to add a few accessories to make it work better for my visitors. I got a ledge extender, I bought a baffle to keep the squirrels away, and the seed catcher to keep the messy birds from spread, spreading the seed all over my lawn! Thinking of saving up for the hummingbird version.

  I love the feeder. It doesn’t always notify when I have a bird and the same bird came more than once yesterday and it identified it as 2 different birds. I also get a few that can not be recognized… even so some of them have already visited.

  A wonderful hobby

  UPDATED REVIEW 6/30/26: I love my Birdbuddy. It has awakened an interest in birdwatching that I've never suspected I would enjoy so much. The camera takes gorgeous photos, and is very reliable. I had another brand of camera feeder before, and it was very frustrating because livestream rarely worked, and it would take a video even if a leaf or shadow moved near it. BirdBuddy is the best. I do hope the developers will continue to improve the app. Overall, it works very well - but several features are urgently needed. I would ask for two features to be added as soon as possible: 1) I urgently need to be able to delete the two bird nicknames I created. I'm not enjoying that as much as I thought I would, and there is no way to either edit/change or delete those nicknames. 2) I very much like to keep my collected videos sorted and labeled properly, but sometimes I make mistakes, and there is no way to edit the species classification either I or the Birdbuddy app assigned to the photo/video before I saved it. Please, please add these capabilities soon.

  Too much locked behind sub

  I can’t invite my other family members in the house to connect to the camera without having to pay a subscription free. That’s insane. This is not a cheap device and I expect at least to have my wife also be able to use it. Greedy.

  Won’t connect to app

  Bought this as a gift. I have tried so many times to complete setup. I have used home wifi and my hotspot. I can connect the device to my home internet and hotspot, but the connection to the bird buddy account always fails. Ready to give up because I haven’t heard back from support.

  What a waste

  $200 for a plastic hummingbird feeder and they’ve still managed to paywall half the useful features for it. Never mind the fact the livestream takes forever to connect with strong signal and the bird “identification” struggles to identify the one kind of bird that shows up. I was super excited to share the livestream with my girlfriend since we’re long distance but that’s an extra tier of monthly membership! Greed knows no limits, buy ANY other product if you’re reading this please

  A birdwatching must!

  Birdbuddy is absolutely fantastic! It is a must for bird watchers. We now know the species and numbers of birds in our yard. It is educational too through its AI integration. The only issue is they the user interface is very crowded and seemingly unorganized. If the UI were better and cleaner, it would by 5 stars.
