  Steals half a gig of storage

  Look. It's not cool to have banking apps that gobble up storage space. Ever. But in the current situation? With memory and storage shortages? Apple raising prices? Expect more reviews like these. Better still, help shame apps that steal storage from you for their spyware and/or their neglect to remove dead assets and/or framework bloat. Nearly half a gig of storage used is just unacceptable! It's time for companies to respect their users. Storage will no longer just be a given and something to take for granted. You have been warned. We're not putting up with it anymore!

  Clunky, slow app

  I work in Alaska so having the Alaska airlines card makes my life significantly more comfortable with the rewards status, but otherwise I would not use Bank of America because of this app. Like most people, I primarily use apps for my banking needs, and this one is slow and feels ad-heavy. I don’t want to be told about your other products on the login page if it’s going to make the page take 30 extra seconds to load when other bank apps take 5, and I don’t want your AI assistant to be the only way to clear notifications when it takes more than 90 seconds to load, if it loads at all. I don’t need an AI assistant at all, but I certainly don’t want one that’s integral to the interface. When I signed up for the card, BofA had several account deals that I considered, but because of how clunky the app is I chose to take the rest of my banking elsewhere.

  I don’t know why this app gets such great reviews. It is not at all user friendly. I’ve never had an app so frustrating to use. It’s total garbage.

  The app has been fine but lately and for a long time, it’s been opening, scanning my face, and then gets stuck on a blank white screen.

  Too Many Meaningless or Marketing Alerts

  I feel I’m being generous with the 2-Star review. As you can see in the picture, the B of A app throws a lot of meaningless alerts. Because it’s a banking app, users feel compelled to open the app to ensure that there’s no fraud or other problem. I believe the overarching concept behind Apps is to offer a good/efficient experience, and save customer time. In fact, this app more often than not, wastes my time because of its unnecessary alerts. In the moments before this picture, the app displayed 3 alerts. I opened the app and I dismissed 5 alerts inside the app. I closed the app, only to find that I still had 3 alerts! Also, the AI bot has made progress, but still seems behind the times. Hence 2-Stars.
