Top nav more difficult to use
Moving common menu items from a bottom nav bar to a menu at the most difficult to reach portion of the screen has made the experience of using the app unpleasant. I find myself just closing the app rather than dealing with this poor UX choice. Would love to see this reverted or an option provided to use bottom navigation.

Horrible update, full of ads being displayed
Note I'm a New York Times subscriber and there are so many horrible web generated ads being shown on the app, horrible and unprofessional - lacks class. Just a dreadful update. Also, and it's been a problem for a long time - but how NYT chooses to not allow comments on more controversial political articles - showing that they are scared for people giving an actually opinion in case it offends the current regime

Move settings back to the bottom
Recent update moved the back button, share icon, settings, etc. from the bottom of the page to the top reducing overall usability and opposite of iOS 26’s design language. Move it back please

Not a good day for my husband and I if we don’t buy the NYT in the morning!
Honest, well- written and deep articles which leave you satisfied after reading them! Love the NYT!!!!

Bad update!
I’m not sure why the latest update changed the back arrow to the upper left from the lower left - it’s much less intuitive and super clunky. Also hiding the “save” feature in a sub menu is super annoying. Sometimes things don’t need improvement!

Save and comments
Please return save button to main story page, and also provide access to comments (along with number of comments) on main page. Please consult online readers, and have them test, proposed changes before implementing

Digital v Print
I get both. The digital does not truly reflect the print.
