Description
iReal Pro is two things musicians love in one app: a realistic backing band that plays along with you, and a huge free library of chord charts you can pull up anytime — at practice, at a jam session, or on a gig. Need to transpose a song for a singer? Done. Want to practice with a full rhythm section behind you? Hit play. Named one of TIME Magazine's 50 Best Inventions and trusted by thousands of students, teachers, and pros at schools like Berklee College of Music — iReal Pro has been helping musicians get better since 2008. BAND • 50 accompaniment styles — Swing, Bossa Nova, Blues, Funk, Rock, Bluegrass, Reggae, Latin, Gypsy Jazz, Country, and more • Customize each style with acoustic or electric piano, Fender Rhodes, guitars, upright or electric bass, drums, vibraphone, organ • 40 additional styles — blues, salsa, Brazilian — available as in-app purchases BOOK • Download thousands of free chord charts shared by the iReal Pro community • Create your own charts in minutes with the built-in editor • Organize charts into playlists for gigs, sets, or lessons PRACTICE • Adjust tempo, loop difficult sections, transpose to any key • Automatic tempo increase and key cycling for focused practice • Global Eb, Bb, F, and G transposition for horn players REFERENCE • Guitar, ukulele, and piano fingerings for any chord • Tap any chord in your chart to see how it's played • Scale suggestions for improvisation SHARE • Share charts and playlists with other iReal Pro users • Export charts as PDF or MusicXML • Export backing tracks as audio or MIDI files • Sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac with iCloud FOR TEACHERS • Create playlists of exercises or tunes for students • Use in the classroom, over live stream, or while screen-sharing lessons We're a small team of musicians who built this app because we needed it ourselves. We hope you enjoy using it as much as we do.

Cost over $20 and you still need in app purchases
This is pretty much of a scam charging $20 for the app which gives you very little and then asks for more money to make your purchase semi worth it

Amazing app - one glitch needs fixed, though.
One little problem - if you set the chord diagrams to “off” they don’t go away like intuition leads you to think. You have to switch back to one of the instruments (guitar, piano, bass) and make sure it’s switched it off there or they won’t go away even if you select “off”. I thought it was broken but it’s just a broken bit of programming. That’s the work around, though. Please fix this, team. If I switch to off, it should turn off. Thank you! Love the app so much! Use it for my original tunes, too! Very good!

Shockingly helpful
It’s an amazing list of tunes, yes, but the real magic is play along in all 12 keys! It’s become an invaluable part of my daily practice. Coltrane used to have a piano player comp for him to practice. I may not be Trane, but at least I can practice like him.

Missing Lead Sheets
Wishing for this app to work more like iReal.site did. I would pay for it too. Why can’t that be a thing?

I Don’t Get It
Paid for this app at the suggestion of another musician. I wanted to use it for the drum loops. For rock or pop stuff, for many of the drum tracks, there is no variation at all…they are identical; just with a different name. I’ve not found this app useful or easily comprehensible.

Needs capo function
This program is wonderful not only for jazz guitarists, but for singers as well, as well as other such solo instrumentalists. Although most jazz guitarists like moveable chords, and hardly know what a capo is, this app is far more versatile than its service to the jazz community would suggest, and is is a shame that the long standing clamor for a simple capo function has fallen only upon deaf ears always to date.

All my trumpet students have this app.
Great app for teaching improvisation. For a jazz version of happy birthday I use the first 8 bars of It’s Only A Paper Moon.
