  If you want to make sure your career never changes, congratulations—Indeed has perfected that experience. Whatever is on your résumé becomes your permanent identity. Spent years in sales? Enjoy being recommended 437 more sales jobs, a handful of insurance scams, commission-only “opportunities,” and the occasional retail position paying less than your electric bill. Apparently, growth isn’t part of the algorithm. Trying to switch careers? Good luck. Indeed treats career changes like they’re illegal. Instead of helping you discover new paths, it builds an impenetrable wall around your previous experience and keeps throwing you back into the same soul-crushing jobs you were trying to escape in the first place. I’ve reached the point where I’m watching tutorials on how to avoid using Indeed to find a job. Think about that. I need tutorials to work around a website that’s supposedly built to help people find work. If you’re in sales and desperately trying to get out of sales, this is the last place you should be looking. Indeed doesn’t see a human being looking for a new direction—it sees a keyword and decides you’ll be selling something until retirement. At this point, don’t even make an Indeed account. You’ll spend months applying for jobs you don’t want, getting ghosted by employers, and wondering why your “career search” somehow turned into an endless loop of the same positions you were trying to leave. Indeed isn’t a career-changing platform. It’s a career prison with a search bar

  OK when I try to hit on the show more for any job the page freezes. The app does not need an update so I’m not sure what’s going on but I’m having difficulty with the app itself right now and the update just happened so you need more bug fixes.
