  Constant Issues

  For the last four months, the State Farm mobile app sends me notifications that asks me to check always allow for location settings. Despite that the always allow has been selected on my phone. State Farm has no fixes for this issue!

  Every time I login I have to reset my login credentials. Every time. And they don’t make it easy. It’s enough to make me change insurance companies.

  Really hard to cancel an insurance

  I requested a policy cancellation since I moved to another state. There’s no option available in the app to cancel your insurance. You have to contact your agent which most of the time was very difficult for me since they don’t answer and they only keep saying they’re gonna call you back which never happens then when I finally got to get in touch with them, I requested cancellation and next month I got charged again. I had to call my agent again and they told me that apparently the regional office overlooked my cancellation request so they were going to request it again. It is really easy to enroll but very difficult to cancel reason why I will never get an insurance from State Farm again.

  Beware of the Drive and Save feature if you drive a vehicle with a manual transmission!

  I’ve used driver apps with both Progressive and GEICO in the past and was usually given a 98 score, or excellent. Not so with the State Farm app which keeps reminding me I need to improve my gradual acceleration, while giving me high scores for everything else. Finally it dawned on me that it is impossible to smoothly accelerate with a manual 6 speed transmission as you must depress the clutch to up or downshift the vehicle. I love my manual transmission but I’m not in love with the D&S feature. Go find a kid that drives stick and programs and he’ll figure out a workaround! BTW, the rest of the app is well laid out and easy to use.

  I’ve tried to get my policy information onto the app and it never showed up. I lost my drive safe discount and tech support didn’t have no idea how to help

  Nuke my local settings when you update the app

  Every single time you update this app it nukes my local settings, PIN login and everything else. Why are you so destructive? It shouldn’t be this way. Horrible user experience overall. Developer responded telling me to call customer service. USELESS development staff. I would give 0 stars if I could.

  Convoluted and usually in accessible

  I’ve had this app for years now and I have yet to be able to access it in a timely manner easily when I need it. I’ve set up Face ID, PIN numbers, etc but every time I try to open it I have move to my laptop, search through my password manager for my login and password and authorize it multiple times. Once I get in it doesn’t make a lot of sense either. Feels like an overhaul is needed, nothing comes easily or intuitively to me.
