  Too many ads

  like okay i enjoy the collage part and that it’s free, i’ve been using it BUT!! you cant making anything good and polished bc the erase tool will shift with each stroke so it’ll be like, shifting your outline to the right. Not to mention! before it was a great place to find inspo for art but AI has ruined everything and removed so many photos. Like I can give an amazing description of what i’m looking for and it will give me the wrong thing entirely, so i’ve just been using google atp. I’ve almost been banned bc i “saved something that went against guidelines” but it was something AI deemed wrong. and PAUSE MY MUSIC FOR AN AD ONE MORE TIME. I have them all muted and it’ll STILL pause my music like OH WHO IS YOU.

  Love Pinterest, hate ads

  While I absolutely love Pinterest, I am really bothered by the amount of ads I see. The ads themselves are fine, I often fine myself trying to pin them, but the shear amount of ads per page is overwhelming. I just wish they could tone it down a lot. Rest assured, if i like something enough to buy it I don’t mind going through the hassle of clicking on the pin to go to their website.

  Frustrated

  Where to begin? I’ve been using this app for years and I loved it so much until about a year ago. I had tens of thousands of pins, but all of a sudden it seemed like half of all the pins I saved were ai without me realizing. I also noticed a sudden abundance in ads. Seriously, I couldn’t scroll through three pins without an ad popping up. Between the ai and ads, only really a fourth of the pins suggested to me were actually things I wanted to save. That’s not insane, considering it’s probably the same on Tiktok or other social media—but when you consider how incredibly tailored Pinterest used to be, it’s astounding. Then, like a final blow to the once incredible apps reputation in my own life, I was banned. I’ve had my account since sixth grade and had a seriously mind boggling amount of pins saved, and my account was deactivated. I had posted maybe three pins that were just collages I made of cute outfits and I didn’t save anything ridiculous or inappropriate, and yet my account was permanently banned with no opportunity for recovery for no real reason. It truly is heart breaking because of how many different phases of life this app has seen of me, and they’re all now gone for no reason known to me. I have reached out to Pinterest multiple times but all of the replies are automated, and I truly believe my account was a victim of an account checking system ran fully by ai, leading to the deactivation of my account and thousands of other users. Seriously, how can an app go this downhill??

  Ads ruined it

  This app is almost completely unusable now because of the ads. Taking up the entire screen while the photos themselves are limited in size. Really sabotaged themselves with how many ads they integrated

  for every 1 actual pin there are 10 ads no exaggeration. i could take a screenshot of my feed right now and it will all just be ads. it’s ruining my experience genuinely
