    As tyrannical a product as one can produce

    I lost access to my Line app after changing phones, and it took months to finally get back in. Now that I’m in, I cannot message anyone because my account has been suspended for reasons line will not disclose. I’m certain I have not violated the terms of agreement, so it’s just an awful product with worse support and opaque enforcement.

    Don’t use this!!!!

    If you’re in the USA, this software has gone from OK to absolutely terrible. I was having a problem with notifications and uninstall the software in order to reinstall it only to find out that it no longer supports logging in with your cell phone, and it only gives you two options, your Apple account or your Google account which you had to connect to your line account. I had no idea so now I’ve lost my main account on my phone and I have two sub accounts which won’t allow me to reassign to a main account so I can fix this problem. This software is absolutely dreadful. Please don’t spend your time on this, although I will say I’m not a fan of Google messenger because I don’t like it, It’s the lesser of three evils instead of the best possible app. If there’s anyone in tech-support reading list, please tell me how I can fix this problem.

    Hoo boy...

    I was ready to give LINE five stars. I've gotten its out-of-control stickers under control and I've been using it to communicate with my new Thai girlfriend, and all has been going great. We chat and have regular video calls over LINE and it's never yet presented a problem. But reading these reviews from other US users is making me very nervous. I realize my Love and I have got to find some alternate means of communication in case the least little thing goes wrong with LINE and I can't get back into my account. Yikes.

    Terrible customer support

    I’m trying to help my parent use this app. Has terrible customer support. I’m thinking about deleting app. My parent uses an old phone and LINE discontinued service for old OS so he was locked out of his account. So I created a new account and reinstalled on a new device which basically didn’t work. There’s no way to contact their support system. The help center is useless. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use this app. Being communicate with family is essential in today’s society. This kind of faulty app is something I would not want to rely on especially in a case of emergency.

    Another customer support failure

    Traded in my phone and forgot to do a transfer like everyone else here. After 2 weeks of multiple support inquiries I cannot login into my account since US phone numbers are restricted and I had no email attached to the account. What doesnt make any sense is they offered to delete my old account providing a phone bill and ID. Why can I delete an account but not regain the same account with this information they want me to provide? It just doesnt make any sense. Please add US phone numbers back and this app would go back up a star at least.

    A Decade of Loyalty, No Real Support

    I’ve used LINE for around 10 + years and have spent money on digital purchases over that time. After getting a new phone, I was suddenly unable to access my existing account because the app only presented sign-in methods that did not recover it. Instead, it created a brand-new account. My original account still exists, but I cannot access it. I’ve submitted multiple support inquiries and continue to receive generic responses that don’t address my specific situation. To make matters worse, the email they sent me couldn’t even be replied to because it was undeliverable. Losing access to years of purchases, contacts, and account history because of an account recovery issue is unacceptable. Customer support should provide real account recovery assistance for long-time paying customers instead of automated replies. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend this app

    Nonexistent Customer Support

    I use LINE to communicate primarily with my family, had an issue with my Apple account so I had to restart my entire device, now I can’t get into my LINE account. They don’t let you log in with your Apple account without a transfer code, but my device has been restarted so how would I be able to access my LINE? Can’t link it to a phone number or with a google account. Tried contacting customer service, they send an automated message with “please verify by clicking this URL” and when I click the URL it says “link no longer available”. It’s not like I waited days to click the link. I either do it same day or the day after. They’ve sent me this link twice now and both times did not work. I wish they would just connect me to an actual human being customer support. Honestly feel like giving up on this messaging app, but just use something else at this point.

    Stupid App

    I would give this app a ZERO if I could. If you lose your old account or can’t log into ur old account then theres nothing you can do anymore. They make you transfer your account when you can’t even log into it 😂😂. You also can’t create a new account since they only let you create it with your Apple account and only one account can be made with your apple account. So if you get a new phone and can’t get hold of a device that is signed in then you’ve basically lost your account.
