  Marriott is fantastic. Except this one place…

  Have been a loyal Marriott guy for a couple of years. There is one place though that absolutely puts the chain to shame. I’m writing this review here in hopes that someone in Marriott sees it and looks at other reviews / removes a particular hotel from its chain. It’s the “Spring Hill suites by Miami Marriott airport South blue lagoon” 6700 NW Seventh Street, Miami, FL 33126. No really this was a roach motel, smelled like the worst black mold. I’m honestly considering notifying the Miami health inspector. Really - don’t take my word for it, the most cursory inspection will show you what I’m talking about.

  Regularly stays and points have to be submitted to Marriott to be included in your history. Otherwise they don’t exist to Marriott. I book all my hotels through the app, then after the stay they disappear!

  Unpleasant experiences

  Arrived only to be told they were overbooked. I waited over an hour to be checked in. There are several pending charges on my card, 2 on two other cards. The GM was called but wasn’t helpful. I will say the front desk representative remained professional while trying to be trained over the phone on a new system. Arrive in the room, the water pressure in the toilet creates an extremely slow flush, if any, not to mention rings around the upper part of the toilet, the refrigerator isn’t cooling, the headboard is dirty and crumbs were on the pullout sofa. The worst experience ever!!!

  Appreciate the cleanliness because I am severely allergic to cats and dogs especially mold, very clean hotel, and no rugs in the rooms love it
