  Unnecessarily limiting passkey choice

  Don’t tell me what my passkey can or cannot be. It’s 4 digits and I should be able to select whatever 4 digits I want. Introducing frivolous rules and restrictions on my selection is annoying

  Bad app

  This app is awful. I normally use ParkMobile in my neighborhood towns. Unfortunately north shore mass uses this app. It is so bad. It doesn’t remember your parking time enough to realize you haven’t used up the allotted max parking time in a zone. So it won’t let you re park in the same zone when you expire even though you have not parked the maximum time. ParkMobile remembers this. It’s much better. I got a parking ticket with passport because of this failure. I hate towns that use this app.

  Not a real app

  Warning. Scam company. They attempt to steal your money through deceptive practices. Make very sure you read all of their fine print before you park in one of their spots.

  Won’t accept a payment method for MONTHS

  For MONTHS this app won’t save a payment method. Not the kind of thing you want to deal with when you’re parking to go to an appointment. The thing is, the developer KNOWS this problem exists, and as I write this, the app hasn’t been updated for 4 MONTHS. They claim it only happens on “newer phones”, and they claim it’s Apple’s problem, not theirs. I’m going to recommend to our town parking authority that they find another competent payment processor. Passport Labs isn’t it.

  Getting worse

  I work odd hours that often run into the very early morning (2-4AM.) In my neighborhood, parking is very sparse, especially the night before morning street sweeping, and this app used to be a real boon on such nights when I'd get home only several hours before the meters come online, as I could prepay for my spot when I park their after arriving that night. Now, for some unfathomable reason, you can no longer prepay, meaning that I have to set an alarm for several hours after I go to sleep in order to wake up and put money on the meter, try to go back to sleep, and then wake up again 2 hours later to move my car before the 2 hour limit elapses, which, after a long night shift, feels like some kind of sadistic sleep deprivation torture experiment rather than a reasonable remote payment method. Also, if you park in a zone with a time limit (like a 2 hr max zone,) if your time runs out before you get to the app to extend it, you cannot start a new session, even if you've only been parked a fraction of that time (IE 12mins in a 2hr zone.) Instead you have to go out and manually feed the meter or move you car to a different zone until later in the day when the app decides you're allowed to park their again

  You have one job

  not only does it take forever you have to sign up. there should be a guest version to be quick. why am i waiting more than 30 seconds to spend money on parking of all things.
