  Way too expensive!! Even the we used it because the people who use this app as their income source were amazing! I submitted a review for my sitter who went above and beyond and I missed the arbitrary window of posting the review in the timeframe. When trying to contact support to help ensure it showed on the sitter’s profile, there was no help available.

  Not worth it

  It costs 45 dollars for a back ground check to even be able to set up your account and people constantly book just to cancel last minute. I’ve made no money off this app despite me having 24/7 availability. I wouldn’t recommend this app.

  Lack In Customer Service

  Rover is a great app for finding sitters and connecting with pet owners, but their customer support for non-emergency issues has been very frustrating. My account was deactivated due to a misunderstanding, and I have been actively messaging Rover support to explain the situation and get it resolved. So far, I have not received a response back from Rover. I understand non-emergency issues may take time, but account problems are still important. Rover should provide clearer communication and respond in a more timely way when someone’s account is affected.

  Poorly designed app

  I can no longer send message update to owners because Rover doesn’t allow me to see what I am typing! What kind of UI is this?? I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it was great when I first downloaded it. But since then they’ve redesigned it and it gradually became worse and worse. It reminds me of Windows 97. I feel like the developers need to attend an app design 101 class.

  Rover is one of the worst dog sitting platforms

  If your dog gets hurt on this platform, as a result of negligence of a sitter, they will deactivate your account as a result of them having to pay you through the Rover guarantee, before paying you for damages. They do not properly vet sitters on the platform as most are unqualified to handle multiple dogs at the same time

  Good service But!

  Brick and mortar dog sitters don’t require 100% deposits, so why Rover? Suppose something happens to the dog? I’m ok with a 50% deposit but the full amount seems ridiculous. I won’t use Rover for any stays longer than 2 days.

  Good app if you’re trying to find someone to dog sit but terrible app to become a sitter cause you have to pay $49 to become a sitter.
