  Worse than fentanyl

  Balatro is an incredibly well designed game. It’s also essentially a means of self harm, and isn’t actually that deep or meaningful. I now understand why Nixon declared war on drugs. I regret having ever played this game, and I regret all of the time that I wasted on it.

  The worst RNG when you unlock more options

  Early on, you would most likely find the joker to actually make a difference early to late game, then as you unlock more, the chance basically drops to zero for the one joker you need. You also have to deal with the game ruining boss as the first boss, and have to start over almost immediately. I feel there should at least be a selection for what joker you’d get from the tokens you’d get from skipping blinds, or you’d get “the obelisk” 5 times in a row.

  Apple Pencil Issues Ruined Perfect UX

  I love Balatro. I have played hundreds of hours across different devices, it was one of the first games I added to my iPad when I first got it, and the UX with an Apple Pencil used to be amazing I loved the ability to hover over cards with the pencil. It worked with the pencil much better than other games due to the hover ability. However, there was a recent update that made it so you can’t purchase shop cards/use cards/ etc with the pencil. It doesn’t register the drag. And it is super annoying please please please fix, it was perfect before. I’ve seen the bug discussed on other forums to I know I am not the only person experiencing this.

  They just ported the pc version and scaled down the display. SO MANY things are nearly impossible to read, even with all the fx turned off. Plz update to make it usable on a phone screen!

  Only 5 star rated game on the App Store for a reason

  This is what happens when a 10/10 idea and 10/10 execution meet. It’s simply a good game, no ads, expansions, or in game purchases. The idea is incredible with clever strategy and a fitting gambling/luck aspect. The art is clean and the music is catchy. Genuinely one of the most addictive games I’ve played. The owner doesn’t allow casinos to use this concept because he knows how dangerous this game can be in casinos so hats off to him.
