    Very Fun

In orchestra class we were seeing who could get the highest score in this game and it instantly captivated me so I bought it at home.

    STAFF WARS IS AWESOME!

I’m learning how to play the guitar and Staff Wars (along with Staff Wars Live) taught me how to quickly process the Treble Clef. I had already learned the notes, but wasn’t confident in processing them quickly enough to play what I was reading. It took that part of my studies and made it fun. And an even more remarkable aspect is that it helps maintain the desire to get quicker and quicker. There aren’t many tools that have been able to keep my interest in this way. I definitely recommend it for musicians at any level.

Pretty fun but could be improved

This is a great game to play when you don’t have an instrument and staff paper. My biggest gripe is that they don’t divide the notes into two sections so that your thumbs can easily tap the notes. Developers, study the Kinesis blue keyboard and fix this!

    This game is absolutely incredible!

I love this game! I’m getting so much better at Alto Clef and Treble Clef! My friend recommended this app for me for Treble Clef, but then I learned to play the viola and started learning Alto Clef. When I started off, I didn’t know anything at all. But now I am much better at it, and I can say read quickly and easily! My teacher was amazed! Before, the app would occasionally double click, but now it works much better! This app is amazing, and my teacher is recommending it to her other students now. Thanks!

    Needs a couple things

I like the app, long time alto and soprano sax player, I only learned the treble clef. Now taking up cello and tenor sax. This old brain is having a time not thinking of the treble clef notes when reading the bass clef. I’d like to see a mode where the note names appear in the note head, a level zero where it stays on slow mode, a zap sound when you get it wrong, and an option for a piano keyboard in place of the letter buttons. Already a good learning aid, I think these would make it even better.

    Amazing Staff Game 🎼

This is such a great game. My band teacher suggested this game to us, so I went home and got it. It’s great for practicing reading music, as I am just starting to read and play music on my clarinet. It’s fun, has good music, challenging but not overly challenging, and simple. I’ve already been reading music for years, as I started piano pretty young, but this is great also for piano music—it helps me sightread even complex songs better and generally improves my playing on both piano and clarinet—making me faster and more accurate. My band teacher hands out prizes for making it past levels 10 and 15, which I’m getting close to. If you are just starting to read music, or if you would just like a little practice with it, this game is for you. You’ll be hooked—and even if you’re not, you’ll at least be a better musician. My only suggestion is: it would be fun if the music that plays in the background could change from the same 8 notes or so. Having different songs would make it even more fun. This is a great game. Good job, developers 😊 The $1.29 for this game is worth it.

    Effective note learning tool.

This is a very effective note learning tool for many students—they are drawn in by the increasing pace/intensity. As a teacher I love that I can choose a range of notes to practice, such as treble clef space notes only, an appropriate hurdle for beginners.
