  LOVE the app but not the new update

  I’ve been playing this game since I was in middle school & I’ve had it on my phone for years now. I’ve always loved going to the shop & customizing my character, but recently I think the app underwent a new update, because the inventory & shop setup looks very different. I used to spend hours in the shop, but now when I go in & try on clothes, after a while it’s like it automatically resets & I lose all the clothes, shoes, avatars, hairstyles & accessories I was trying on & have to completely start over in the shop & find every one of those items again unless I add every single thing to my cart. Which I don’t have room for since the limit is like 90 items, which has been pretty frustrating. But like I said, I love this game & I’m a long time player, but I really hope that glitch or feature is not permanent.🥲

  good game but the updates aren’t good.

  i’m not gonna lie, i’ve been on this platform for over 6 years now, and it’s always been a very good game. I genuinely enjoy being on here, but I feel like these new updates strip IMVU of everything it was. my main issue is the shop. this rise of sponsored items make it so difficult to find items that I search for. IMVU is a dressing game, and lots of people have their own unique styles. sponsored items make it difficult for individuals to be creative and find creative pieces. sometimes, i have to scroll for 2-3 minutes trying to get past the sponsored items just to reach the items i want. It’s very frustrating. Another thing is the new shop update. it’s not good. it’s pushing down other creators and it’s making it difficult for me to find my favorite creators. I’m into creepy core or doll style, and whenever I type those things in the search bar, all i get is a sea of sponsored items. it was never like that. I normally don’t leave reviews like this but I feel like everything is so cookie cutter and it’s just frustrating.

  Long-Time Customer: They Keep Charging More While Taking Features Away. Do Not Recommend.

  This app finds a new way to disappoint me every day. It’s not just one issue—it’s a consistent pattern of removing value while increasing cost: • Removing the ability to purchase chatroom slots and host • Taking away the standard single VIP tier • Adding unnecessary new tiers (like “Emerald”) that feel like a cash grab, offering very little upgrade compared to Diamond • Increasing VIP prices while simultaneously reducing what users actually get And now the most frustrating part: The removal of the one feature that made this app worth using. Being able to: • Shop • Send messages • View your stream All while staying in the chatroom and multitasking freely. Now users are forced to sit in chatrooms only, with no real flexibility. I’ve personally purchased not one, but two chatroom slots at full price in the past—only for them to now feel completely useless because of the new VIP hosting system. That makes this change feel especially unfair and honestly scammy, since paid features have effectively been devalued or replaced without real compensation or benefit to previous buyers. At this point, it feels less like improvements and more like restriction after restriction, with little regard for how users actually use the platform. To prove how little they care about our feedback on this, I guarantee they won’t even read nor reply to this review, and I doubt we will get the feature returned to us anytime soon, if ever.

  This new update sucks. While I appreciate inventory search finally being a thing on iPhone, everything else is a confusing hard to use mess. And PLEASE for the love of all things holy, knock it off with the spam messages to buy stuff or make those messages mutable. It's REALLY annoying getting 7+ notifications from vu alone

  It def is boring now esp since they changed how ppl see the rooms no one sees mine anymore except bots. The only good change was how you can search in the wardrobe for iPhone but even that part doesn’t work right.
